About Us

Environmental Conservation for Wildlife and Community Enterprise (ECOWICE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving wildlife through improving income and food security. Our main programs focus on human-wildlife coexistence, environmental education, restoration, and sustainable income-generating activities. We operate in critical biodiversity areas including Mikumi National Park, Nyerere National Park, and the Rungwe and Livingstone mountains.

Position: Communication Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote ECOWICE programs.
• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage and update the organization's website and digital platforms.
• Coordinate public relations efforts and build partnerships with media houses.
• Monitor and analyze communication campaigns and their effectiveness.
• Support fundraising efforts by creating promotional materials and donor reports.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Experience in the conservation or nonprofit sector is an added advantage.
