ECOWICE conducted a stakeholder meeting for the project of mitigating human-wildlife conflicts to villages adjacent Mikumi National Park. The meeting involved stakeholders from Mikumi national park, Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA), Tanzania Forest Service Agency (TFS) and Mvomero District Game officer. The meeting held to discuss various challenges facing Mikumi National Park in particular Human-elephant conflicts, environmental degradation and land use issues.
